Here are a few of my favorite book cover testimonials. I have also added some comments of my own about the projects. You can click on the book covers to see them in detail.
Mark Stellinga
"When I discovered Sam's site, I knew she was definitely capable of creating precisely what I was looking for in the way of covers for my forthcoming novels. Her cooperation in my efforts to get them "just right" was so appreciated. She is both versatile and very experienced...what more could you ask for. And she's been a delight to work with."
I really enjoyed working on this large project. I designed 5 book covers and hundreds of interior illustrations. Mark was great to work with, and I look forward to working with him again soon. |

Book series:Ready or Not...
Samantha Wall's ability to turn my abstract ideas into the exact design I needed combined with her prompt turnaround and professional approach made her an invaluable part of the publishing process. I look forward to working with her again."

Book two "There we go" |

This was a great project to work on. Elizabeth had very strong ideas on the style of illustrations she required. I think the resulting covers are perfect for her book, and I often receive compliments about these designs. I love the bright colours. |

Book Title: A Return to Abundance Trilogy
"Sam turned a simple concept I had into one of the most beautiful covers I've ever seen. Everyone to whom I show the book says, "Paul, this is a beautiful book!" If you want a great cover, just give Sam a little information, get in the flow, and watch a beautiful cover come to life. Five stars, Sam!"
I really enjoyed working on this series of books. Paul had some great ideas, and once we had settled on an image, everything came together quickly. |

Book Title: The Amber Treasure
"I approached Sam Wall looking for a vibrant colourful cover for The Amber Treasure (my Dark Age historical fiction novel) and she worked with me to come up with an exciting and interesting design which I really like. The final stages of design involved multiple revisions and she never complained about this and made all the changes I asked for speedily. I would certainly recommend her to other publishers and novelists."
-Richard Denning
Richard came to me with a very interesting book. It was important for me to capture the tension and exightment of the story. I am very pleased with the result. |

Book Title: Confessions Of A Womanizer
"I enjoyed working with Samantha Wall. She has the wonderful ability to extract my abstract thoughts and turn them into great designs. I will be working with her again on my next novel."
-Stephen E. Chatman
Published By Must Read Books

I experimented a lot with this cover to make the pages look old and used. I soaked coffee into scrunched up paper then scanned them once they were dry. Stephen is always a pleasure to work with. I have produced two more covers for him.

Book Title: Release The Butterfly
"When I asked Sam to work on my book cover, my first letter
was long and vague, explaining at length about how it should convey
inspiration, creativity, peace, the flight of the soul, etc. Poor
Sam! Still, she thought about it, and within a few days sent back
an image. I was doubtful that anyone could capture what I wanted
and was ready for a long back-and-forth about it.
Well, she “nailed it’ on the first try; this image,
with a few additions of color and background, is on the final cover...Read more.

Bob was a pleasure to work with. The cover came together very quickly. I loved the design process and Bob's enthusiasm for the completed cover. |

Book Title: Iceman To The Internet
"From a grab bag of photos and facts, Samantha
Wall created an imaginative cover that touches my core. Instinctively
divining its importance to my narrative, she presents Escumbuit
Island as a tranquil refuge from change, my safe haven in a world
evolving from horse drawn ice wagons to Internet chat rooms in nine
decades."

Book Title: Salem
"When I first contacted Sam, I had some fixed ideas about
the cover in my head. I gave Sam a plot breakdown and she was
able to produce a cover that swept away all of my own ideas and
somehow got to the very essence of the book: subtle but disturbing.
Sam's enthusiasm was a pleasure and the finished product shows
the true value in consulting a professional."

Book Title: Please Remember
"My grateful thanks to Samantha Wall for a brilliant cover. Sam managed to produce, on the first attempt, an image that I had in my mind but found difficult to convey into words, offering her only jumbled thoughts and a photograph. It truly has been a pleasure working with Sam, I highly recommend her."

Book Title: The Phoenix
"Samantha did a terrific job on my cover for The Phoenix.
I had an idea of what I wanted, and sent her a very poor quality
scan of a 150-year-old suede leather book cover with tarnished gold
details. I had no real hope that it would work. I don't know how
she did what she did, but the cover looks like--old suede leather
with tarnished gold details. Exactly what I
wanted! Kudos, Sam!"

"If you're looking for an artist who will listen to your instructions; is patient, amenable to making changes, and produces within a set time frame; look no further. She made an exquisite CD cover for me working solely from instructions from me, via e-mail. I described an idea and she turned that idea into an exquisite work of art.
Thank you Samantha!"-Magdalena Obert Published By Butterfly Press |
"Two heads are sometimes better than one, and ideally a book cover comes from both author and designer. That's what happened with Allegiance, my latest novel. This may be the hardest job for a designer, to listen well to an opinionated author and also offer her own ideas. I gave Samantha a photo and she produced a background for it that is a work of art in its own right. Clever book covers are not uncommon; artistic covers are somewhat rare."-Jim Shackelford |
"When I decided to self publish my book, I went to a lot of different places looking for cover art. I got so frustrated by the process, I put the project aside for a whole year. Finally I found Sam. Not only was the price reasonable, but she clearly had an interest in getting the cover done the way I wanted it- adapting her style to my tastes. She always had lots of ideas, and was a talented artist, fulfilling the promise of a years worth of work in just a few weeks.
THANKS SAM! "

"We're known as a publisher of nonfiction, so when we published our first novel, we felt that we had to prove ourselves all over again. Therefore, although we've produced most of our covers in-house, it was important to work with an artist who specializes in book covers for Purple Sun. Sam was suggested to us by a friend, and turned out to be an outstanding choice.
We started with a general idea of what we wanted for a cover, and even had purchased rights to a photo that fit the landscape of Larry McAuliffe's epic Vietnam novel. Sam did a masterful job of manipulating the photo, taking out some elements, adding others, and changing the colors to perfectly reflect the mood of Purple Sun.
The cover is striking--people notice it right away on book displays and in stores. Sam's work has been a crucial part of the book's success."
-Steve Carlson
"thank you for your endless support on making this book cover. When I first contacted you, I wasn't exactly sure about what I wanted yet you didn't give up on me. I cannot forget the number of times I asked you to alter this and that.I was never sure of which file formats were appropriate for printing or at what stage the barcode is put on the cover. Throughout this uncertainity of what to do, you remained supportive. I look forward to working with you on my next book and I will definitely recommend you to other writers."
